Vessels are one of the 'must have' possessions for all people, rich or poor, to carry water, to serve our food, to hold the things we gather. So through the ages crafts people in all mediums have shaped and decorated them to be useful, or beautiful, or to tell a story, or all of these things.

A vessel has a body, a neck or throat, a mouth and lip, an inside and outside. It can have feet and handles or arms. It has a stance or posture and can be tall and skinny or short and fat. Their similarities in form to our own make them fertile ground for expression, to say something about our human experience.

Some of these carved vessels are available for sale. Please contact me if you are interested.
