I always have some reluctance when selling new work. On the one hand when a piece is sold it is encouraging, a validation of sorts. Someone has thought the work was worth their hard earned dollars. On the other hand all the time spent in the making makes each piece a kind of sign post along the path that makes me want to keep them. And when sold the money comes in and goes out and just the pictures remain.

A Classy Table
walnut, holly stringing
18"h x 24"wide x 48" long

The top is made with shop-made veneer and inlaid holly stringing. The lower shelf mimics the top's pattern but with bent lamination strips. Though light weight it is surprisingly strong.

This table was included in Fine Woodworking's Gallery pages. I was pleased with this as this publication has been a wonderful resource in my wood working education.
