I always have some reluctance when selling new work. On the one hand when a piece is sold it is encouraging, a validation of sorts. Someone has thought the work was worth their hard earned dollars. On the other hand all the time spent in the making makes each piece a kind of sign post along the path that makes me want to keep them. And when sold the money comes in and goes out and just the pictures remain.

Ceramic bowl by Holly Polich

I rarely make something twice but this is the third time I have made this design, each time with a different wood species and bowl. The glass insert can be removed and replaced with the bowl making it an integral part of the top.
